What is GDPR?

On 25 May 2018, the new protection regulation will begin in all EU Member States. The purpose of GDPR is to strengthen the protection of individuals and to regulate companies' handling of personal data.

GDPR replaces the 1995 Data Protection Directive, as well as all current member states current national regulations, including PUL.

Due to the EU's new Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we would like to update our privacy policy. You may feel that your personal information will be safe in our organization Greenpower AB.

In this privacy policy, we want to explain how we collect and use your personal information.

For what purposes do we process your personal information?

Administration of your purchase

We process your name, e-mail address, shipping address, invoice address and phone number ("your contact information") to process your purchase and to fulfill our commitments to you as a customer. The legal basis for this is that it is necessary for us to fulfill the commitment in regards to your purchase. If your contact details are not provided to us, we are unable to handle your purchase or otherwise fulfill our commitments in relation to you.

We also process your contact details as well as details of your purchase to handle your claims for order cancellation or warranty. The legal basis for this is that it is necessary for us to fulfill the commitments regarding your purchase.

Marketing of our products and services via email

If you have given your consent to this when you made a purchase, we will also use your name and e-mail address to promote our products via e-mail by sending newsletters and promotional offers. We will also send our newsletter to you if you have requested this specifically via the form on our website. In order for you to get offers that are relevant to you, we will in some cases adjust the content using Profiling Data (see explanation below). You can also unsubscribe from receiving newsletters and promotional offers by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail message.

Profiling

When you use our website, we will automatically collect and analyze your IP address, your purchase history, items you have shown interest in and your browsing behavior on our site ("Profiling Data"). For this, we use the Google Analytics tool. Our analysis of Profiling data gives us increased knowledge and understanding of our customers in general, and also enables us to present offers directly on our website that we believe are relevant to you (so-called profiling). The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in being able to develop our business and to market products for you that we believe you may be interested in.

To prevent information about you being saved through Google Analytics, you can use a browser add-on that you find here.

Your data is generally only processed by us. We may however share your information with our partners in accordance with the below.

  • Our administrative persons may access your personal information we handle about you, but only to the extent necessary to fulfill our commitments in relation to us.

  • Payment service providers (Klarna & Dibs).

  • To be able to deliver your order to you, we will share your contact details with logistics companies for shipping purposes.

How long do we save your personal information?

The personal data we process in order to administer your purchase or to fulfill our obligations as a supplier will not be saved for a longer period of time than is necessary to manage your purchase or fulfill our commitments.

For accounting purposes, we save information about your order and service agreement for seven years in accordance with current accounting legislation.

If you have given your consent to receive email marketing from us, we will save your name and your email address for this purpose until you unsubscribe.

Your personal data may be stored longer than stated above to the extent that we are required to do so by law, regulation or governmental directives.

How are your personal data protected?

We have taken special security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized or unauthorized processing (such as unauthorized access, destruction or damage) and the security is continuously updated.
